UN ABRI - Nature, between illusion and utopia

Vercorin

In collaboration with the artists and the Société de Développement de Vercorin, Tahoo Expériences presents a permanent, playful 4.5m2 artificial plant and sound installation.

Un abri is the title of a year-long theatrical project with seven young people from near and far, at the Arsenic - center d'art scénique contemporain in Lausanne between 2020 and 2021. The aim was for each person to tell his or her own story in words and images.
This green wall, made from artificial plants and flowers, was Mamadou's first stage set. Garden of Eden, lost paradise, utopia. But it was also a place for questioning. Then came the proposal from the Bex&Arts contemporary art triennial to present this natural setting for its 2023 edition, Vivement demain! From theatrical set to work of art, between nature and denature, there was only one step to take to question, in a poetic and playful way, our relationship with illusion.

Audrey Cavélius:
Audrey Cavélius is a scenic and visual artist with a multi-faceted career path, which she constantly challenges. After studying literature and theater, she quickly developed her own projects, for which she won several major Swiss awards. Identity and all the forms it can take are at the heart of her preoccupations. Identity as a perpetual construction site, where our innermost selves, our dormant or roaring potential, rub and clash. A subject with infinite possibilities, offering the artist the chance to deepen his relationship with transformation and metamorphosis.

Christophe Gonet:
A multi-instrumentalist composer and performer, Christophe Gonet performs both solo and as part of a collective, with the post-rock group "Chambre avec vue (trio)", under the pseudonym GONSHOT'S with his trip-hop compositions and philosophical talks, in theaters and museums with projects by Audrey Cavélius and Alain Borek, in podcasts with Art's cool studio Young Pods, and in The Slide Project, where he plays with single-string guitars made from wine crates, tennis rackets and skis.
