The famous Dérupe route linking the two villages of the commune of Chalais, Chalais and Vercorin via Briey offers ideal training for mountain running. The route partly follows the Chalais-Vercorin cable car which can be used to descend.
After passing through part of the village of Chalais, you can contemplate it from the heights. All along the trail, let yourself be surprised by a breathtaking panorama. From Sierre to Réchy, the view promises to be impressive. Walk along the vineyards of Domaine Mathieu, then cross the forest in the direction of Briey. Take the old Chalais-Vercorin road which passes through the forest before reaching the Bouillet chapel which you can take the time to admire. To finish, join the resort of Vercorin by walking through the forest and its secrets once again, then follow the underside of the village of Vercorin before arriving in the heart of the village.
